well the guys running 'real west ham fans' seem to be a bunch of foot soldier mongs who spend more time attacking other fan groups than the board nowadays. Bit sad really.

Re: WHUISA and FSF help overturn “indefinite” ban
No they are not Chedylan. They are just West Ham fans, all ST holders including away ST Holders. A number of people on the committee do the miles week in week out and have done for years.

I was previously on the committee and I couldn't give a fuck about politics and it was never discussed. What people's political views are, has no bearing on what is a football group.

What some people seem to be misinterpreting is committee members using resources known to them and contacts to try verify what the club claim.

If Brady says X about the stadium and other bodies including the mayors office also hold information then I see no problem with fact checking. It's what I would expect any body dealing with the club to do.

Only numpties take the clubs word at face value these days, everything they say needs verifying be it through FOI requests or asking the right questions to the right people and if they also have access to the press then they would be idiots not to use those contacts too.

The club want to control the message in the national media and limit direct access to fans. They hate it when fans are approached direct by the nationals/ TV. When an article I was involved in with The Times about the stadium was published on a Friday, Sullivan came out with cobblers on the OS the same day saying 95% of fans loved the stadium. The two events were not unconnected.

That's my opinion on it based on what I know anyway, people can make their own minds up.

Re: WHUISA and FSF help overturn “indefinite” ban
But they didn't get it overturned they just did the follow up letter after the club admitted over the phone they made a mistake .

and what has Carlton Cole got to do with all this.

or will you use that £1 to fund the materials for stalin's left nipple on the giant bronze statue that i have been reliably informed your lot are planning to dig up and replace the champions place with?

Re: WHUISA and FSF help overturn “indefinite” ban
It was a good letter from the falsely accused to the club.

I would also like an explanation on exactly how they made the mistake. What made them think it was him. If they have footage of someone who this Robert bloke agreed looked like him and was indeed dressed like him and stood near his seat, OK, you could see why they made the mistake, but I'd really want satisfying on that point.

How the fuck do they decide exactly who to send the ban to? Do they spot someone throwing something and see which seat place he's in and ban whoever bought that seat? If so that's ridiculous in teh situation like v Burnley because so many people were up out of their seats in the general kerfuffle, and not neccessarily to cause aggro; many would have been leaving their seats to avoid aggro.

Re: WHUISA and FSF help overturn “indefinite” ban
Well done WHUISA and FSF.

It is outrageous that the club think they can make serious accusations against people without any kind of accountability.

This innocent person could have ended up losing their job and had false information on them held by the Met Police football unit.

I hope the club get taken to the cleaners.

Re: WHUISA and FSF help overturn “indefinite” ban
We're just such a two bob football club.

How do you not do your research before indefinitely banning somebody?

Everyone passes their tickets around - there's also so many empty seats that people move around. Also the fact we don't have photos attached to our tickets means how the hell are they identifying these people with 100% conviction?

Send the letter to the supporter you think it is for sure - but invite them to the club at least for an identity check!
